The Die Separator is used to open the large sheet metal dies that are used in the automotive and appliance industries with far greater ease and accuracy than a crane, or multiple non-synchronized jacks or pry bars. The die can be closed and opened to simulate the movement of the die in a press, allowing the performance of the die to be checked before releasing the die for production.
The machine automatically compensates for unequal height jack pockets, and the 8 inch color display panel provides the operator with specific instructions for the various operating situations. Hydraulic pressures, jack loads, and other messages are also displayed there. The electronics monitor hydraulic pressure and jack travel to prevent the die from getting out of parallel. This machine will also level out of parallel or jammed dies.

The jacks and hoses can be equipped with quick-disconnects to rapidly change jack sets. The Die Separator automatically senses which jack set is connected and loads the appropriate operating parameters for that jack set.
